“”Google knows that every Friday night I search for a pizza place,” he says. “So I’m hoping that [eventually] on my Android phone my GPS will trigger an alert when I happen to be driving past a well-reviewed pizza place that just happens to have a Google offer available.”“
I can’t people are eventually hoping that we get push notification ads. Fucking insane.
Also, since I haven’t really commented on the Google privacy policy change yet: to think Google is suddenly evil is incorrect. There is nothing inherently new about the new privacy policy; they are only merging every separate Google entity’s privacy policy into one coherent thing. The privacy policy change isn’t so much a change as it is a wake up call to people who were blindly feeding Google their personal information.
