In early May, I got a letter from the provincial government saying that now that I had finished my studies, I had to pay back my student loan. There was a problem with that though: I still have two years of studies left.

Apple mentions this a lot whenever they do their iPhone Tech Talks, but it needs to be restated: lazy loading is key on the iPhone.
Lazy loading is load when you need it. Originally, launching STTR w/MapKit took 3.5 seconds (on a 1st gen touch). Moving my callout views from a subview hierarchy to Core Graphics brought me down to 1.3-1.5 seconds. Of course, this number would grow as more stops...
On Private Messaging on IRC
I don’t know where anyone on IRC picked this up, because I’ve never seen it anywhere other than iPhone channels but:
Traditionally, you do not have to ask for permission to PM someone on IRC.
If you’re busy, you can just ignore the PMs coming in and answer them when you have time; people will understand that because 90% of IRC is idling.

Nicest Android phone by far. Really customizable and borrows some of the social network integration the Pre has. All that’s really missing is a nicer exterior and some UI polish at places.
Also, pay close attention at the Favorites tab in the Speed Dial section of the video. :/
Oh hey, look, an introductory post. These typically suck, so I’ll make it really brief.
Each time I host my own blog, I either end up accidentally deleting it when I’m far away from the backup, or it ends up getting hacked because I’m too lazy to apply security patches. Hence the switch to Tumblr.
